Aging causes collagen to break down and decrease facial volume. Several injectable dermal fillers are now available to restore this volume and reverse the signs of aging. These fillers correct mild to moderate facial wrinkles and helps to stimulate collagen reduction. Fillers are injected in the office and the procedure only takes a few minutes depending on the number of areas being treated. Minimal bruising and swelling may last for a few days after the procedure but makeup can be worn to camouflage. Duration of results is variable depending on the product used, but can range from 3 months to 1 year.
